Robert GOODRICH b. 1820, England

My 2nd Grt. Grandfather was Robert GOODRICH b. 1820 in Manningly, Essex, England.  He at sometime emmigrated to Canada, married in Frontenac County, Ontario to Elizabeth Hendrickson.  They settled in Cramahe Twp., Northumberland County, Ontario where many of their descendents remained and raised their families.  A cousin of my grandfather once told me that we were distantly related to Benjamin Franklin Goodrich (Dr.) and founder of Goodrich Rubber Co.   I'm looking for the link to my ancestry in England.  Can anyone connect Robert to B.F.'s English ancestry?  Robert and ELizabeth's children were:  Robert, Wesley, Mary, William Charles, Annie, Stephen, George, James, and Frederick, all born in Ontario, Canada.

Go to our Goodrich Family Association web site home page, click on the Surname Index button, and then on the G and select Gooderich from the list of surnames there, and you will reach our England-born ancestor, William Gooderich, born ca 1545, and his history that we have. B. F. Goodrich is a descendant of William Gooderich.
