Ransom or Marvin Goodrich

I am looking for Ransom Goodrich.  He died 24 September 1913 in Alpena, Michigan. I believe he was born 12 February 1822 in Massachusetts but I cannot verify the year or the place of birth.  His parents are believed to be Marvin Goodrich and Lucy Shed, but I they may be his grandparents and I may be missing a generation.

We show Ranson Goodrich, born in Massachusetts, married Mary Jane Smith (Ranson with a n, not a m.)
They had George Henry Goodrich, b. May 1, 1849 in Wingham, Ontario, Canada; he died in Alpena, Michigan March 18, 1928; George married Mary Ann Kerr, born 26 Oct. 1855, Canada, she died May 24, 1937, Alpena,  Michigan

George and Mary Ann Goodrich had a dau. Florence D. Goodrich, b. 3 Feb. 1892, m. 27 Apr. 1912 in Alpena, Mi St. Anne Church.  Florence died March 6, 1968.

We show a couple of notes for George - he was a pioneer in Green Township, Michigan, and he reportedly had many siblings, incluing Cephes, Seth, Ida and William.
